Dr. Somnath Mitra, the Chief Executive Officer of the Centre for Research Commercialization at IIT Gandhinagar. Earlier he was driving the University Relations program vis-à-vis Research at Adani group. He headed the Centre for Digital Transformation at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. He was a DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION PROGRAM ADVISOR, worked with YES BANK in Strategic Government Advisory from Aug 2016 till Jan 2019, earlier with NISG-TRAI, Xchanging Technology (now DXC Technology), IBM, India, Alcatel-Lucent, Wipro Technologies, Ericsson HP Telecom, HCL, and several IT companies. He completed his MBA from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He has more than 29 years of work ex in IT industry, with experience in Financial Services, Oil & Gas (upstream, and downstream) domain, and Telecom domain. He is an AWS certified Cloud Solution Architect. he completed his Ph.D. on Smart Cities at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
